2009 China Liberal Arts Tour

ˇˇˇˇThe 2009 China Liberal Arts Tour took place from August 6th -18th covering five major cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. With admissions officers from thirteen prestigious American liberal arts colleges (Barnard, Carleton, Colby, Colorado, Franklin & Marshall, Grinnell, Kenyon, Middlebury, Oberlin, Wabash, Washington & Lee, Wesleyan, and Wheaton), the 2009 Tour successfully attracted over 1,000 Chinese high school students to participate in our information sessions, and the admission officers interviewed over 200 students in the five cities. The event was hailed by the press as the most successful demonstration of liberal arts education in China.

ˇˇˇˇFeedbacks from participating colleges are very encouraging. Admissions officers have expressed their eye-opening experiences in major Chinese cities has indeed changed their understanding of China and the in-person interviews with students offer both parties to learn more about each other as a person instead of mere application materials. In fact, many students who conducted interviews through our events have been admitted into those colleges and have become a member of our community this year!

We are extremely proud of our achievements!
